Review Process

Rigorous and thorough peer review process

Submissions are initially reviewed to ensure they are in accordance with basic research requirements and basic video quality standards. Moreover, they are crossed checked for plagiarism and reviewed for ethical standing.

Blind peer review will score be used to score the submission. If accepted, the article will be reviewed by the video quality committee to ensure that it meets the highest standards of audiovisual production.

Submissions with excellent research and excellent original footage but simply poor post-production rendering may occasionally be eligible for editing services by the journal.

Once accepted to meet the highest standards of research content and audiovisual presentation quality, the editorial Board will review the submission. Thereafter, the Editor-In-Chief will have final judgement.

Online Submission System

Surgery Multimedia Journal uses a streamlined online submission system that allows you to track your publication throughout the review process. Authors are required to create a free account in order to facilitate correspondence and file tracking of revisions.
